User talk:Mark
From Prep08Wiki
Hi Mark. Welcome to the workshop wiki, and thanks for starting your user page. I'm writing this on your User talk page, which you can see by clicking "my talk" in the links at the top of the wiki page. When someone writes to your talk page, you get an automatically generated email alert from the wiki server, so it's a convenient way to communicate with other participants in the workshop.
We'll be using this Wiki to do many of our collaborative assignments, so it's worth playing around a bit more before the workshop. For example, try uploading a file (picture?).
Talk to you Monday! Bryan 02:33, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
That's cool stuff. I don't see it exactly as a Mercator projection (if I understand the process) because doing this sort of photo with a globe would not show the poles at infinity, just along the top and bottom edges of the strip. That makes me doubt this process is conformal.. do you know one way or another?
Definitely bring this up when we talk about the fourth dimension and the cubists. I agree there's some connection to be made. Bryan 02:51, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
