Hi Andre. Welcome to the workshop wiki, and thanks for starting your user page. I'm writing this on your User talk page, which you can see by clicking "my talk" in the links at the top of the wiki page. When someone writes to your talk page, you get an automatically generated email alert from the wiki server, so it's a convenient way to communicate with other participants in the workshop. Hi Andre. Welcome to the workshop. I'm curious what is on the syllabus for a high school geometry course. We have some materials in the very early sections about polygons that can probably be adapted to the high school level without much trouble. The material on tessellations may work as well. From what I have heard from my sons (just finished 10th and 11th grade) they tend to like projects. So this approach may very well work with even the less motivated students. I received the information you sent me and that is very useful. I wondered about creating explorations for the congruence theorems as an assignment (and possibly some of the properties of triangles). And it sounds like this might actually be of interest to several people. Barta 23:43, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
