Hello. My name is Maureen and I teach at the College of Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Mount is a small Catholic liberal arts college, mostly undergraduate.
I taught high school for 10 years and have been at the Mount for 25. I teach a lot of multivariate calculus, college geometry, liberal arts math and an interdiscip;inary hisoty of math course.
My Goals For This Workshop
My main main reason for taking this course is to get some ideas for a liberal arts math course for art majors which we are thinking of developing. We have a one math course requirement in our liberal arts core and none of the courses we currently have seem to be good for art majors. At one time I taught a liberal arts math/interdiscipinary course using materials a colleague (and I a little) developed. One of the units was geometry and art , which really worked well for them.
