Goals/Hopes for this Course: I taught geometry for future elementary school teachers last semester and included visual illusions, symmetries, Escher drawings,... Unfortunately my students were not as excited as I am, so I am looking for more insight, ideas, experience, suggestions, collaboration. I just finished my first year of teaching at Westfield State College after graduating from UMass and am excited that our courses give me the opportunity to explore the connections between mathematics and arts.
