I am working on my PhD in mathematics and just completed my third year at Saint Louis University. Before coming to St. Louis I taught high school for a year up in Michigan, where I am originally from. For my student teaching I was required to write a paper and I chose to look at mathematics as it relates to nature, music, and other areas that might have seemed "more interesting" to the students.
When not doing mathematics, I enjoy the very math-y art of English Change Ringing. Hmm...maybe that doesn't count as non-mathematics.
