I think this is an interesting idea, Debra. It seems like you could have an interesting conversation about where we can see infinity. The circle limit prints and Path of Life III each have infinity going off in just one direction -- either toward the center or toward the outside of the circle. That second Kitaoka you linked to seems like it implies infinity toward the center and maybe hints at it toward the outside as well, which I think is challenging to do in artwork. Seems like Dali's "Galatea of the Spheres" would be a good one here, and he has a bunch more like that with lots of spheres. Could compare with Escher's "Bond of Union". I showed some of Kitaoka's stuff the one time I did op-art and optical illusions - he's quite an innovator.Bryan 06:06, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
