Sarasota

This sunset picture was taken by the bay near my house. It's a little out of focus, but the view is still beautiful.
These images are from the New College campus which is located next to the Ringling Museum of Art. Some of the structures were built at time the Ringlings lived in Sarasota.
This sculpture is in front of the library shared by New College and the Sarasota campus of USF.
Here's another view that makes it almost fit our 4D definition if motion over time is used as an interpretation:
Looking another direction from the same place are these views:
The following images are at the Ringling Museum. I did not go inside for any of these. You can see these just driving or walking by. There are more interesting images, but I don't want to bore you all.
The Ringling School of Art and Design has installed these sculptures, probably senior projects.
These are scenes along Tamiami Trail near downtown Sarasota. The bridge connects Sarasota with Bird Key and Longboat Key.
This set of sculptures are made up of geometric shapes. My daughter and I always take their stance as we pass them, at least for a moment. The companion piece is of one person raising hands in joy...at least we think it must be joy.
The palms are amazing, although we do take them for granted.
The patterns of the canvas across the roof is interesting.
We've used this bridge as an illustration of math in the real world project.
These buildings look interesting as we drive back across the bridge.
This is one side of the Sarasota Central public library.
Don't forget to Google the Sunshine Skyway Bridge!!! It is now named the Bob Graham Skyway bridge.
