Math and sewing

This is just a simple rectangular tessellation. I attempted to orient the frogs the same way. The fabric actually has dilations of the frog patterns.


This is a stained glass quilt kit. I really enjoyed the symmetry of the knot.



This is a cool quilting technique where you assemble quilted objects out of quilted disks. You over lap the disks enough to sew them together and form a solid piece. You can get different patterns by varying the back/front colors of your disks. When I first saw this, I wondered if you could develop a similar technique with any other shapes, but I don't think you can.


This knitting project had a repeat of 12 rows of stitches.
