Thoughts: 1) Research a current artist who uses tessellations and analyze some artwork. Creative a version using similar mathematical ideas.
Instructions: Find an artwork or building where tesselations occur. Analyze the mathematics behind the it. Using similar isometries, construct a tessellation of your own. Be sure to include detail. Write up a report summarizing your mathematical findings and how you constructed you example.
Grading: 30% artwork 60% write up 10% inclass presentation
