I deleted the questions about regular and semi-regular tessellations. The objective for this Exploration is to understand the area/defect relationship. Regular/semi-regular tessellations is a separate topic. See Regular_Spherical_Tessellations_Exploration.

Also, I'm putting back some of the ones with mirror lines, because if they only do the regular tessellations then they only see regular triangles. They should be able to handle triangles with interesting corner angles.

I removed the octahedron in favor of the icosahedron. The point here is that the octahedron is a good one to do on the board by way of introduction to this exploration - it's easy to draw, easy to understand. Bryan 10:55, 23 March 2009 (CDT)
