Our department is part of the College of Arts & Sciences, which includes 15 academic departments and 13 interdisciplinary programs. This college is one of 14 Colleges or Schools within the overall University.

The department administers both a Bachelor's of Arts and a Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science, as well as B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. programs in Mathematics.
Our department has 30 tenured or tenure-track faculty members. Approximately 10 of those faculty members regularly contribute, in whole or in part, to the Computer Science program. A complete list of faculty members, including research interests, can be found as part of our department web site.
St. Louis is one of the great midwestern cities, full of history, charming architecture, culture and entertainment.
The city is home to a diverse population and a variety of colorful, eclectic neighborhoods. Retail shops, sidewalk cafes and art galleries complement historic and contemporary homes in areas like the Central West End, the University City Loop, the Hill, Lafayette Square and Soulard. Museums and theaters make for great outings, and three professional sports teams invite you to root for the home team.
