TOPOLOGY:

Saint Louis University has a very active research group in topology, with an emphasis on the topology of 3-dimensional manifolds. Areas of specialty include hyperbolic 3-manifolds, hyperbolic geometry, knot theory and foliations. For further information consult the webpages of:

Anneke Bart , geometric topology, surfaces groups in hyperbolic 3-manifolds.

John Cantwell, geometric topology, foliations of 3-manifolds

Bryan Clair , topology

Kim Druschel, algebraic topology

John Kalliongis, geometric topology, 3-manifolds

David Letscher, 3-manifolds, normal surface theory

Kevin Scannell , 3-manifolds, hyperbolic geometry

T. Christine Stevens , topological groups, Lie groups

Michael Tsau , 3-manifolds, knot theory

See also our Differential Geometry Page

We have a weekly Geometry and Topology seminar, usually on Thursday afternoons. For a schedule of these talks, see our Seminar page
