The Grant
In summer 1998, the Department was awarded a National Science Foundation
ILI grant, matched by the University, with University-provided renovations,
for the installation of a computer classroom. The grant was funded
on the basis of our proposal to develop materials in abstract algebra,
linear algebra, geometry and computer science. The computer classroom
has also been used for other classes for which materials have been developed
- for example, calculus, differential equations, and general education
mathematics. This web site provides links to those materials and
to a variety of information about the classroom and the classes that were
taught in it during the period of the grant (1998-2001).
