Information collected from different souces by Anneke Bart Thebes was an important city in Ancient Egypt. The hills and cliffs of the west bank are honeycombed with tombs. Some of these tombs are being excavated to this day and much new information is still being learned from these tombs. The list given below leans very heavily on the work of Porter and Moss. information that has come to light due to excavations in recent years
(for as far as I am aware of it) has been added. Where appropriate

given to outside sources
