Some of these men and women are not otherwise known to us.
Khabeknet's tomb dates to the Ramesside period and this scene is
related to the worship of Amenhotep I and his mother Ahmose-Nefertari.
Ahmose is known to have honored his grand-mother Tetisheri. A stela
(now in the Cairo Museum) shows Ahmose offering to Tetisheri.
Ahmose Nebpehtire shown twice
before Queen Tetisheri.
Ahmose ordered a 'shrine' to be built to the memory of Tetisheri in
Abydos. This shrine to Tetisheri was actually a
mud-brick
pyramid, with a slope of about 60 degrees. It is though that problems
with the construction led to the collapse of
the small pyramid--probably in ancient times.
(from a lecture given by Dr. Stephen Harvey)
The mummy of Ahmose
His mummy was found in one of the royal caches (DB320)
together with the mummies of his sister-wife Ahmose-Nefertari as well
as some of the lesseer ranking royal lades like Henuttamehu,
Henutemipet and Sitkamose.

Ahmose
died at an age of ca 35
-
40. He stood about 1.64 m tall (5ft 4 1/3 in).
